About Iva
Iva Williams is originally from West Texas and grew up on a ranch. She continued her cowboy tradition as a University of Wyoming Cowboy and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Throughout her career, Iva has focused on driving results through research and data, while encouraging collaboration and efficiency. She currently works for a Utah-based technology company as a software administrator. Project management and relationship building are key skills she plans to bring to the state legislature
Iva’s friends describe her as the person who brings people together. She’s never met a stranger, whether it’s riding up with a fellow skier on the lift or sitting at a sporting event. She knows everyone has something to offer and she’s happy to find out what that might be. Her outgoing personality helps her build bridges at work, with her church, and her community at large.
Iva has been a resident of Sandy since 2018. She and her husband Ben have two daughters, two dogs, and the occasional foster puppy or two (or three). They spend their winters skiing and summers hiking and camping. She also loves to travel, whether it’s near or far.
